USF General Education Courses2026-27

Beginning Summer 2026, only General Education courses approved by the Florida Board of Governors and included on USF's official approved General Education course list will count toward students' General Education requirements. This policy applies to all undergraduate students, including those admitted under prior catalog years. Previously completed Enhanced General Education courses will continue to count if the student has already taken and successfully completed them; however, students who still need to complete General Education requirements must be advised into courses from the newly approved list. Enhanced General Education courses that are not on the approved list should no longer be used for future General Education planning. Advisors, faculty, and students should review and follow the updated approved General Education course list carefully to ensure accurate course selection, degree progression, and timely graduation.
